In need of pitching depth after the last few days, the Twins have called up left-handed reliever Buddy Boshers from Class AAA Rochester
Darin Mastroianni has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained oblique muscle and reliever Glen Perkins has been moved to the 60-day disabled list.
Perkins' move was retroactive to when he was first injured, so he will be eligible to return on June 11 if his shoulder is healthy.
Boshers was 1-0 with a 1.42 ERA in 15 relief appearances at Rochester. He has two saves, as well as 21 strikeouts in 19 innings.
