TWINS UPDATE

The Twins (63-80) continue a six-game road trip after winning 5-1 on Sunday in Kansas City. The victory ended a six-game losing streak for the Twins — four to the Chicago White Sox at Target Field and the first two games in Kansas City. ... The Twins are 3-0 against the Angels this season after sweeping a series April 25-27 at Target Field. ... They are 11-15 against AL West teams and 28-44 in road games.

2B Luke Keaschall has a seven-game hitting streak — matching his season high — after going 1-for-4 on Sunday. ... 3B Royce Lewis is 11-for-35 in his past nine games.

C Ryan Jeffers was put on the seven-day concussion injured list Sunday. ... RHP David Festa (right shoulder inflammation), C Christian Vázquez (left shoulder infection), LHP Anthony Misiewicz (left pectoral strain) and OF Alan Roden (left thumb sprain) are out. ... After the series with the Angels, the Twins are off Thursday before opening a 10-game homestand — their final homestand of the season — Friday against Arizona.

ANGELS UPDATE

The Angels (67-76), who are playing under interim manager Ray Montgomery after manager Ron Washington had bypass surgery, are in fourth place in the AL West standings, 1½ games ahead of the Athletics.

OF Jo Adell is fourth in the AL with 35 home runs and seventh in the AL with 94 RBI. Adell is hitting .347 with 10 HR and 22 RBI in his last 20 games. He hit a two-run home run in the first inning Sunday and has hit four go-ahead home runs since Sept. 1. ... OF Taylor Ward is tied for sixth in the AL with 30 home runs and is sixth in the AL with 95 RBI. Both the home run and RBI totals are career highs.

Closer Kenley Jansen has converted his past 11 save opportunities after earning his 26th save (in 27 opportunities) Sunday. Over his last 31 outings, he has a 1.19 ERA (four earned runs in 30⅓ innings). He has 473 career saves — five from tying Lee Smith (478) for third most in MLB history.

OF/DH Mike Trout has 20 home runs this season and is two shy of 400 for his career. He is trying to become the third player to hit his 400th career home run in an Angels uniform — joining Dave Winfield (1991) and Vladimir Guerrero (2009). Trout has 1,008 career RBI and is the third player in franchise history to surpass 1,000 career RBI (joining Garret Anderson and Tim Salmon).

C Logan O’Hoppe left Sunday’s game in the seventh injury after being struck in the facemask by a warmup swing by an A’s hitter. O’Hoppe was being evaluated for a possible concussion after the game. ... RHP Ryan Zeferjahn (right knee tendinitis) was put on the 15-day injured list Saturday. RHP Chase Silseth was recalled from Clas AAA Salt Lake. ... OF Jorge Soler (low back inflammation) and 1B Nolan Schanuel (left wrist contusion) are out.
