Tactile Medical gets new FDA clearance

Tactile Medical, Minneapolis, announced that it received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of lymphedema in the head and neck.

The company's Flexitouch System, which has been approved for the treatment of swelling in limbs, can now be used to manage excess fluid buildup in the head and neck that is often the result of cancer treatments.
