The St. Cloud Police Department is investigating the death of Hallie Marie Tobler, a 22-year-old woman whose body was found Saturday evening.

Just before 8:30 p.m. Feb. 7, police were called to an apartment in the 3100 block of 40th Avenue S. for a medical emergency, according to police.

Inside the apartment, officers found Tobler, of St. Cloud, dead. The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office later determined she died of multiple stab wounds.

Tobler’s 23-year-old husband was found locked inside the apartment with Tobler, with stab wounds that police think were self-inflicted.

The husband was taken to St. Cloud Hospital and was in stable condition late Sunday.

In a news release, St. Cloud police said he will be charged in Tobler’s killing.

The Minnesota Star Tribune typically does not name suspects until they have been charged.
