Snoop Dogg released a new Christmas song about Minnesota ahead of his halftime performance at the Vikings/Lions game on Dec. 25.
The song, “Christmas in Minnesota,” was released on Christmas Eve. The cover art shows Santa Claus flying over Minneapolis, featuring U.S. Bank Stadium where the game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. It is not clear if Snoop will sing the new song during his holiday performance.
Snoop Dogg raps about being in Minnesota for the holidays in the song, including crip-walking through the streets.
“Pull up to the Target Center, everyone knows us,” Snoop Dogg raps in the first verse. “Shows up, shows out no matter the climate.”
Death Row Records, Snoop Dogg’s label, posted it on Instagram on Dec. 24, calling the song an “early Christmas gift” for fans.
Snoop Dogg will perform alongside Lainey Wilson and the voices behind this summer’s breakout animated hit “KPop Demon Hunters.” The game will stream on Netflix.
“Christmas in Minnesota” is available on most streaming platforms and YouTube.
