Good morning everybody. Just about to head out to practice. Actually going to meet with former ref Kerry Fraser first at a St. Paul coffee shop to talk about his new book, "The Final Call." He'll be at tomorrow's game against Vancouver, where he'll be signing the book inside the Hockey Lodge. He'll also be at Tom Reid's Hockey City Pub signing the book after the game.
Canucks come to town later this afternoon after a 5-1 win over Carolina last night. Alain Vigneault shuffled his lines, and they seemed to work. I'm interested to see if Todd Richards will try the same thing.
The third line has been a bit of a mess. Eric Nystrom's been on for all six even-strength goals and 7 of 10 overall this year. John Madden and Chuck Kobasew have been on for five even-strength each.
It seems like something at least has to change with that line, which has all the makings of a good defensive line.
I'll be back on here after practice, but if you missed it during the Wild broadcast on Thursday night, Fox Sports North is doing an online autographed NHL jersey auction to raise money for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation to support cancer research.
Throughout October, Fox Sports North will give you a chance to bid on some great autographed Wild and NHL superstar jerseys.
Any winning bid on a jersey is for charity and tax deductible.
