Roseville hires Whisler as activities director

Scrutinized Roseville High School activities department is rebuilding from the top. Roseville Area Schools hired longtime Mahtomedi Public Schools educator Jeff Whisler as the new activities director, District Superintendent Dr. John Thein announced Tuesday.

The hire replaces former AD Scott Allen, who ended the school year on a leave of absence while caught up in an investigation. The district wouldn't comment on the nature of its investigation, but later reassigned Allen to another role at Roseville Area Middle School, according to the district website.

Thein said Whisler comes to Roseville with 20-plus years of experience that includes several honors and awards.
