Polaris Industries Inc. has bought the remaining piece of Brammo Inc.'s electric motorcycle business, officials announced Thursday.

Polaris has invested millions in the Oregon electric motorcycle company since 2011. Polaris, which makes electric vehicles for the European market as well as gas-powered ATVs, motorcycles and snowmobiles for customers worldwide, did not disclose the purchase price.

Spokeswoman Marlys Knutson said she did not know how much of Brammo Polaris previously owned.

Medina-based Polaris was part of a consortium that invested $28 million in Brammo in 2011 and another $11 million in 2012.

Polaris will own 100 percent of Brammo's electric bike operations. Polaris will begin using Brammo's acquired technology to manufacture electric motorcycles in Spirit Lake, Iowa, officials said. Polaris makes its Victory and Indian motorcycles in Spirit Lake.
