Nebraska is proof that a shiny new practice facility doesn't necessarily translate into college basketball success. And as a result of the Huskers' recent lousy play, coach Tim Miles has taken away his players' access to their own building.

After a 28-point loss to Iowa on Sunday, Miles restricted players from going into their locker room and lounge, a space renowned for its technological advancements and overall lavishness.

Miles said he isn't sure when the privileges will be restored, but he did say it won't be later this week. Nebraska has lost seven of its past eight games.

new name, same game? Braves outfielder B.J. Upton, who has struggled mightily the past two years, will go by his given name of Melvin this year.

curious neglect Interesting piece at grantland.com wondering why more major media outlets aren't covering the Aaron Hernandez trial.
