Baseball season is going to bring “Stick Season” this year to Minneapolis.
Noah Kahan, who rocketed to pop stardom in 2022 with his tenderly strummed hit “Stick Season,” will offer his first Twin Cities stadium show in 2026 at Target Field. The Vermont hippie folk-pop singer booked an Aug. 5 date at the Twins ballpark as part of his just-announced tour for his new album, “The Great Divide.”
Fans can register for a Feb. 10 presale offer via Ticketmaster by Feb. 5. The public on-sale will start Feb. 12. “Sailor Song” singer Gigi Perez, who was a big hit at last year’s Minnesota Yacht Club festival, will open Kahan’s Wednesday night gig in Minneapolis.
Last seen in town playing two sold-out gigs at the arena formerly known as Xcel Energy Center in 2024 — a surprising jump in ticket demand that emphasized how quickly Kahan’s star had risen — the 29-year-old singer has continued to rack up widespread radio play and high streaming numbers since “Stick Season,” with other hits including “Call Your Mom,” “Everywhere, Everything” and his rather numb-skulled duet with Post Malone, “Dial Drunk.”
Kahan promoted his tour and album with TV commercials during Feb. 1’s Grammy Awards telecast. “The Great Divide,” his fourth album, is due out April 24. He released the title track as its first single in conjunction with the tour announcement.
Kahan’s show will now be the first ticketed concert at Target Field since Journey and Def Leppard in 2024. There is another big gig scheduled there on Aug. 24 with My Chemical Romance with Sleater-Kinney. The ballpark only hosted a few smaller postgame performances in 2025, such as Nelly and Dustin Lynch.
Kahan’s show is the fifth stadium concert so far announced in the Twin Cities in 2026, also counting Morgan Wallen’s two-night stand April 10-11, Bruno Mars’ May 13 gig and Ed Sheeran’s Aug. 15 return — all booked indoors at the Vikings’ U.S. Bank Stadium.
