Dave Chappelle is returning to the Twin Cities and he’s once again bringing some famous friends.

The Feb. 16 show at Grand Casino Arena will feature Clipse — Gene “Malice” Thornton and Terrence “Pusha T” Thornton — the hip-hop duo that just won a Grammy for best rap performance.

Chappelle has a history of big musical acts accompanying him to Minnesota in times of conflict. At a 2021 show at Target Center, the comedian surprised the crowd with Justin Bieber and Usher. It was a way for him to thank the city for what it accomplished after George Floyd’s murder.

“This city changed the world,” Chappelle said, before Bieber and Usher put on a mini concert.

You can expect the same kind of energy on Feb. 16. A news release from Grand Casino Arena said the comic was coming to “stand with a community at the center of events that should unite all Americans in defense of civil rights, human dignity and the principles we claim to hold sacred.”

Chappelle last played the venue in September 2023.

Tickets go on sale at noon Feb. 3 at ticketmaster.com.
