Southdale Center announced three new retail tenants as part of an ongoing redevelopment for the Edina mall, the nation's first enclosed shopping center.
Express has opened a new store that merges men's and women's fashions, near the second level of Macy's. The new outlet is the first of its type in the Twin Cities.
A Michael Kors store will open in time for this year's holiday season. Another women's apparel store, Francesca's Collections, will open in early 2012.
The new stores are in addition to a Herberger's department store currently under construction in the former Mervyn's store space that is set to open in time for the 2011 holiday season.
