A dozen Minnesota natural foods companies are in California this week at the Natural Products Expo West tradeshow in Anaheim. The annual event draws more than 3,000 companies and 70,000 food buyers and other industry professionals to keep up with new products and discuss issues in the growing natural foods market.

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture is coordinating a Minnesota pavilion at the show to help the small companies receive discounted booth space and marketing support.

Seven Sundays CEO Hannah Barnstable said her Edina-based company produces muesli and muesli squares, and will launch a new product at the show. Some of the other Minnesota companies participating at the expo include:

JonnyPops, St. Louis Park (all natural frozen fruit and cream pops);

Acme Organics, Minneapolis (organic BBQ Sauce);

WholeMe, Minneapolis (nutrient-dense clusters);

Hot Dang, Minneapolis (grain-based frozen burger patties);

BeeFree Honee, Plymouth (apple-based sweetener);

And Think Mint/Magnimoist, Northfield (microgreens & microgreen growing kits).
