Minneapolis digital marketing agency Space150 has selected its new president in a move to help better coordinate the firm's network of offices.
Dutch Thalhuber, an 11-year veteran of the firm who previously served as Space150's chief operating officer, will take over the role which has been left unfilled since David Denham left the firm at the end of 2015 for agency Peterson Milla Hooks.
Thalhuber's operational responsibilities have been folded into his role as president in which he will report directly to founder and Chief Executive Billy Jurewicz.
"We're trying to migrate a little bit away from three separate offices and instead focus on a singular vision. … We really want to make sure that everyone is benefiting," Thalhuber said in an interview. "If the walls are up too high, people aren't getting the benefits."
Space150 has offices in Minneapolis, New York and Los Angeles. Some of its clients include Buffalo Wild Wings, 3M and Nike.
The firm is known for experimenting with different ways to share digital content, whether it's through 360-degree video or virtual reality. Thalhuber said he is excited about the potential of the use of augmented reality with clients, especially after Facebook's announcement last week that it would allow developers to build augmented reality effects for the Facebook app's camera and other eventual advancements.
Space150 recently won an Effie marketing award for its "Be the Guy" short video campaign for local nonprofit Be the Match that sought to encourage young men to donate bone marrow.
Despite the agency's success, Thalhuber stresses Space150 does more than just digital.
