Matt Millen is happy not drafting WRs in Detroit

ESPN's Matt Millen knows he's probably in the right profession now.

A little later, we'll tie together some thoughts, quotes and observations from the ESPN MNF "Chalk Talk" event we attended this afternoon at the Guthrie (are you ready for some football! ). But first, we had to start with what Matt Millen said at the finish.

Millen, who works for ESPN now as an analyst after guiding the Lions to a 1-567 record as the team's president and CEO, was asked by event co-emcee Suzy Kolber if he was having fun.

Millen replied that he was enjoying himself, adding: "I could be drafting receivers for Detroit."

That, of course, is a nice shot at himself and his drafting record. He laughed and then proceeded to tell the audience, filled with hundreds of fans and dozens of media members, that the line should stay between him and us.

Sorry, Matt. We all heard it. It was funny.
