Ryan Maenke went 4-for-5 with a homer, triple and four RBI to lead Eden Prairie to a 12-2 rout of Gaffney, S.C., in a losers' bracket game of the American Legion World Series on Sunday in Shelby, N.C.
Eden Prairie plays its next game at 7 p.m. Monday against Tupelo, Miss., which is the only undefeated team remaining in the double-elimination tournament.
If Eden Prairie wins, it will advance to the final day of the tournament -- and will need to win two games to be the World Series championship.

First baseman Tyler Peterson also was 4-for-5 with two RBI for Eden Prairie (40-8). Lance Thonvald added a two-run homer and Tony Skjefte a solo homer.
Cameron Mingo pitched eight innings for the victory, giving up nine hits to Gaffney (25-7).
