Intercim bought by French firm

The Eagan-based firm supplies software to companies worldwide.

Factory automation software firm Intercim of Eagan has been acquired by French firm Dassault Systemes for $36.5 million. Dassault had been a minority owner in Intercim since 2009.

Intercim is a global supplier of what's called "manufacturing and production operations management software." Its customers include Boeing, BMW and Honeywell. In 2007 it merged with the French software firm Pertinence. Dassault makes "product lifecycle management" software.
