Speaking out, albeit briefly, for the first time since his college football career at Ohio State ended embroiled in scandal, Terrelle Pryor appeared with agent Drew Rosenhaus on Tuesday and gave a brief statement in Miami Beach, Fla.
The former Ohio State quarterback apologized to the Buckeyes, to his former teammates and to now-departed coach Jim Tressel for his role in the mess that may take down one of America's proudest programs.
"I say sorry to all the Buckeye nation and all the Buckeye fans across the country," Pryor said. "I never meant to hurt anybody directly or indirectly with my conduct off the field and I am truly sorry."
• In-state rivals Pittsburgh and Penn State will face each other on the football field again for a home-and-home series in 2016 and '17.
• Fired Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez has landed a college football broadcasting job at CBS Sports Network.

Armstrong and Hamilton ran into each other at a restaurant in Aspen on Saturday night, a few weeks after Hamilton went on "60 Minutes" to accuse Armstrong of doping and encouraging his teammates to use performance-enhancing drugs as well.
