Details: The long-developing Lakeville Commerce Center, which landed a 152,000-square-foot Wal-Mart store in 2012, will now get a new SuperAmerica gas station/carwash and convenience store under plans approved this month. The Lakeville City Council this month signed off on the proposal from developer C-Store Partners and Amcon Construction to build a 3,300-square-foot SA station in the northwest quadrant of the interchange of Interstate 35 and W. 210th Street, also known as County Road 70.
Amcon's Jim Winkels told the city's planning commission that his company, which also built the nearby Muller Family Theatres, is looking to begin construction as early as possible in the spring or late winter.
Under the site plan, an advertising monument sign will be erected in its southwest corner and the building will feature four varieties of earth-tone brick.
