Home office replaces piles of storage boxes
Our home office, with two computers and a randomly placed table, had been neglected. Stacy was doing her work with piles of paperwork on the floor next to her desk and digging through boxes still stored in the garage. After several months of this, we decided to spruce up the space.
We examined the office layout to try to optimize the arrangement. We decided to use two L-shaped desks and a center storage unit to divide them. We found a fairly low-priced storage unit, called the Aspvik, at Ikea. The rolltop-style door would hide some clutter.
I constructed the desks from leftover plywood flooring. They took longer to build than I had planned, but once they were in place, they were well worth it. Now we can view our wooded side yard, and with some artwork, we can start to enjoy the great light and energy this space has.
