Finding locally grown fresh produce during Minnesota’s cold months can get easier by shopping at winter farmers markets. In addition to produce you’ll also find specialty foods, decor, gift items and more at indoor and outdoor markets. Here are 21 for your shopping list:

Apple Valley

As part of the St. Paul Farmers Market, local sellers offer seasonal vegetables, fruits and other items. 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Jan. 3 and Feb. 7, March 7; Bachman’s garden center, 7966 W. 150th St., Apple Valley; stpaulfarmersmarket.com.

Big Lake

Local vendors sell fresh seasonal produce, meat, eggs, jellies, baked goods, crafts and more. 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 15 and third Saturdays through April 18; Big Lake City Hall, 160 N. Lake St. March market will be at Big Lake High School with the Community Fair on March 14; details on Facebook.

Bloomington

Buffalo
