Shooting in downtown Minneapolis sends three to hospital

No arrests had been made as of Saturday morning, and investigators were searching for suspects.

Authorities in Minneapolis are searching for clues after a Friday evening shooting in downtown injured three men.

The shooting occurred near the 700 block of Hennepin Avenue at about 6:35 p.m. Friday, the Minneapolis Police Department said in a news release. Emergency crews took the men to HCMC, where they were treated for noncritical gunshot wounds.

No arrests had been announced as of Saturday morning.

“Investigators are working to determine the circumstances around the shooting,” police said. “The shooter fled the scene before officers arrived.”

The shooting is the latest in a string of recent shootings with multiple victims in Minneapolis.
