Stefon Diggs did a lot of things by catching that 61-yard, game-winning touchdown pass Sunday against the Saints. He kept alive the Vikings' season. He lifted the spirits of an entire state.

And he also prevented a lot of us from diving into a bevy of "what-if" questions that would have been given micro-examinations had the Vikings lost. We'd be talking a lot more about the bad Case Keenum interception, the deflected punt and the 4th-and-10 conversion, among other things.

One other question in retrospect, though, that still feels pretty relevant is this — and it's one we tackled on this week's Access Vikings podcast: Did the Vikings overthink their offensive line by shifting Mike Remmers to guard and starting Rashod Hill at right tackle?

The logic behind it was defensible: With starting guard Nick Easton out for the season with an injury, the Vikings put their five most productive and trusted linemen on the field: left tackle Riley Reiff, center Pat Elflein and guard Joe Berger at their regular positions, with Hill — a swing tackle who had subbed for Remmers and Reiff when each missed time earlier in the year — starting at right tackle and Remmers, who had some experience playing guard in previous years, shifting to guard.

They aligned that way instead of simply replacing Easton with a reserve like Jeremiah Sirles and keeping Reiff and Remmers as their tackles. Perhaps the Vikings' offensive line would have struggled regardless against a talented Saints front four led by Cameron Jordan, but they definitely had problems with their Sunday alignment.

In particular, Hill gave up a sack, two QB hits and four hurries on 49 pass protection snaps, per Pro Football Focus. They gave him an overall grade of 33, which is quite poor. Meanwhile, having Remmers at guard didn't seem to help the running game. Remmers, too, was the highest-graded Vikings tackle overall in 2017 — grading out at a 68.4 and topping Reiff (49.2) and Hill (46.9) by significant margins.

That said, on what proved to be the most important play of the game — the eraser of all erasers — Case Keenum had plenty of time to throw and had a clear lane to fire to Diggs for the winning touchdown.

It will be interesting to see if the Vikings can keep Keenum more consistently upright against a very good Philadelphia front four.
