The Frost open the PWHL season Friday night, and on Wednesday they reacquired a key member of their back-to-back league championship teams.

Forward Denisa Křížová is returning to Minnesota after being lost to Vancouver in the expansion draft. The Frost will send forward Anna Segedi to the Goldeneyes.

Křížová, 31, played in every game the past two seasons and had seven goals and eight assists in 54 regular-season contests. She skated for Czechia at the 2022 Olympics and has been in nine women’s world hockey championship tournaments.

Segedi, who played for China at the 2022 Olympics, is a rookie out of St. Lawrence and was chosen in the third round of the league draft.

The Frost open the season at 6 p.m. Friday at Grand Casino Arena against the Toronto Sceptres.
