• Davisco was founded by Stan Davis in 1943. It grew from the St. Peter Creamery into a dairy and cheese-producing, giant agribusiness. Davisco has cheese and other food ingredient plants in Le Sueur and Nicollet, Minn.; Jerome, Idaho, and Lake Norden, S.D. It is one of the largest suppliers of cheese to Kraft Foods.

• Cambria grew out of the shell of Technimar Industries, which was acquired by the Davises in 1999. In 2001, Cambria began production of quartz countertops and surfaces, the only quartz manufacturer in the United States. In 2007, the company announced that it would double the size of its Le Sueur factory and add 290 jobs to its 500-employee workforce.

• Cambria Mortgage formed in 2009 to provide residential lending services. Its offices are in Eden Prairie. A second office in Fargo, N.D., was added earlier this year.
