Readers requesting imaginative dedications, dealers hawking piles of rare books and authors with cramping wrists are the hallmarks of Twin Cities Book Festival, which is happening Nov. 8.

The event, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., is shifting to a new location, St. Paul’s Union Depot. Dozens of authors will be there chatting and autographing books, including local writers Curtis Sittenfeld (“Show Don’t Tell”), Anika Fajardo (“The Many Mothers of Dolores Moore”) and Trung Le Nguyen (“Angelica and the Bear Prince”), as well as Jane Hamilton (“The Phoebe Variations”) and Eoin Colfer (“Firefox Moon”).

Roughly 6,000 book lovers attend the free, annual event, which is sponsored by literary organization Rain Taxi and is celebrating its 25th anniversary. For a complete list of authors, who also include Joshua Moehling, Tasha Coryell and Idris Goodwin, visit twincitiesbookfestival.com. Food trucks will be parked near the depot for the event, which also includes children’s activities, panel discussions and a used book sale that benefits Rain Taxi.
