Advantus also named Todd Spicer vice president and chief compliance officer. Spicer joined the firm in 2016 as compliance director and worked for Securian.

Minnesota Historical Society, St. Paul, named Amy Spong director of heritage preservation. Spong was a preservation specialist for St. Paul and worked for Colorado's State Historical Fund.
Gage, Plymouth, named Sean Hughes technical lead. Hughes was vice president of engineering at Conservis and worked for Thomson Reuters and John Deere.
When I Work, Minneapolis, named Jim D'Arcangelo vice president of marketing. D'Arcangelo was senior vice president of marketing for Booker and held leadership positions at Aria Systems, Global Crossing and Traffic.com.
