University of Minnesota named Claudia Neuhauser director of research computing. Neuhauser was the Informatics Institute director and the Minnesota Supercomputing Institute interim director. She is a fellow of the American Mathematical Society and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

U.S. Bank named Tim Ploetz managing director for the Private Client Reserve in Minneapolis. Ploetz worked for the wholesale banking division of U.S. Bank and was a senior vice president for Bank of the West.

Bellmont Partners, Edina, named Bridget Nelson Monroe vice president. Nelson Monroe joined the firm in 2011 and served on the Minnesota Interactive Marketing Association board. Bellmont Partners also named David Hlavac group account director. Hlavac joined the firm in 2012 as an account director and worked for Haberman.

Logic PD, Minneapolis, named Jackie Torfin vice president of quality assurance. Torfin was vice president of regulatory and quality at Heraeus Medical Components and worked for Beckman Coulter, Cima Labs, PDL BioPharma and Arizant Healthcare.

Lindquist & Vennum, Minneapolis, named Thomas Jancik partner in the commercial litigation practice. Jancik was assistant general counsel and the chief risk officer for the law division at U.S. Bank.

The PrivateBank named Doug Pudvah and Leanne Manning managing directors for its Minneapolis team. Pudvah worked for U.S. Bank and received his master's from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management. Manning worked for GE Capital.

Bell State Bank & Trust named Perry Rassler senior vice president/business banking officer for its Golden Valley location.

Marcus Hotels & Resorts named Jessica Stephens director of sales and marketing for Crowne Plaza Minneapolis Northstar Downtown. Stephens was an assistant director of sales for Millennium Hotel Minneapolis. Marcus Hotels & Resorts also named Riana van Staden director of sales and marketing for Hilton Minneapolis/Bloomington. Van Staden was an assistant director and senior sales manager for Minneapolis Marriott Southwest.

The National Kidney Foundation named Stephanie Stewart to the board. Stewart is the operations administrator for post-acute care and neurosciences at Mayo Clinic Health System.

St. David's Center for Child & Family Development, Minnetonka, named Jana Simmons and Robbin Johnson to the board. Simmons was counsel and governance manager for Visiting Nurse Service of New York. Johnson was senior vice president of corporate affairs for Cargill.
