1. Ohio State (7-0, 4-0 Big Ten): The Buckeyes were idle Saturday and are host to Penn State this week in a game that looked a whole lot more important a month ago.

2. Indiana (8-0, 5-0): The Hoosiers amassed 475 yards and feasted on three turnovers in a 56-6 rout of UCLA.

3. Oregon (7-1, 4-1): The Ducks endured a sluggish start and turned the game over to the rushing attack in a 21-7 win over Wisconsin. Oregon is idle this week ahead of a key trip to Iowa.

4. USC (5-2, 3-1): The Trojans had a bye week in advance of Saturday night’s game at Nebraska.

5. Iowa (6-2, 4-1): The Hawkeyes delivered a first-quarter technical knockout of the Gophers in a 41-3 blowout. Early in the second quarter, Iowa had 31 points while Minnesota had 1 yard of offense.

6. Michigan (6-2, 4-1): With Bryce Underwood struggling to pass effectively, the Wolverines rushed for 276 yards in a 31-20 triumph at Michigan State.

7. Washington (6-2, 3-2): Wide receiver Denzel Boston caught 10 passes for 153 yards and a touchdown and threw a TD pass in a 42-25 victory over Illinois.

8. Illinois (5-3, 2-3): The Fighting Illini have dropped two straight — vs. Ohio State and at Washington — but the schedule softens. The final four opponents for Illinois are a combined 5-14 in Big Ten play.

9. Gophers (5-3, 3-2): With a 41-3 loss at Iowa, Minnesota has been outscored 110-20 in its three road games. The Gophers still have two road games left — at Oregon and Northwestern (at Wrigley Field).

10. Nebraska (6-2, 3-2): The Cornhuskers secured a second straight bowl trip under coach Matt Rhule by overcoming a blown lead and getting a key fourth-quarter drive to beat Northwestern 28-21.

11. Northwestern (5-3, 3-2): Wildcats QB Preston Stone threw two interceptions, short-circuiting the team’s comeback effort in a loss at Nebraska.

12. UCLA (3-5, 3-2): Bruins QB Nico Iamaleava threw a pick-six on his first pass of the game, and it all went downhill from there in UCLA’s 56-6 loss at Indiana.

13. Maryland (4-3, 1-3): The Terrapins, who were idle this past weekend, face a stiff challenge Saturday: a visit from No. 2 Indiana.

14. Rutgers (4-4, 1-4): Athan Kaliakmanis passed for 359 yards, on 18.9 yards per completion, in a wild 27-24 win at Purdue.

15. Penn State (3-4, 0-4): The Nittany Lions were idle Saturday, with a visit to No. 1 Ohio State up next.

16. Michigan State (3-5, 0-5): The Spartans couldn’t overcome 105 penalty yards and a lost fumble in a 31-20 defeat to Michigan.

17. Purdue (2-6, 0-5): A crazy finish vs. Rutgers saw Boilermakers QB Ryan Browne catch his batted pass and fumble at his own 30-yard line. The Scarlet Knights recovered and kicked a field goal as time expired to win 27-24.

18. Wisconsin (2-6, 0-5): A sign of hope for the Badgers in a 21-7 loss at Oregon: They scored for the first time since Oct. 4.
