Minnesota State Moorhead has fate on its side.

Demetrius Carr connected with Adam Jiskra on a 22-yard touchdown pass with 1 minute, 20 seconds remaining, lifting the Dragons over Augustana (S.D.) 35-34 on Saturday in a battle of unbeaten NSIC teams.

Carr's fourth TD pass of the day, and third to Jiskra, gave the Dragons (3-0, 3-0 NSIC) a 35-32 lead. They took a safety on the final play of the game after Michael Strand intercepted a pass with 21 seconds left.

Carr completed 25 of 29 passes for 446 yards. Jiskra made six catches for 93 yards.

Strand had another interception earlier in the game, and the Dragons picked off junior quarterback Trey Heid four times. They also sacked him four times.

C.J. Ham ran the ball 25 times for 138 yards and three TDs for the Vikings (2-1, 2-1).

The Dragons were coming off a 30-28 victory over Concordia that they won on the final play of the game.

Southwest Minnesota State 21, St. Cloud State 20: It looked like the Mustangs and Huskies could be headed to overtime when St. Cloud State's Nate Meyer scored on a 3-yard run with 3:25 remaining. The extra-point kick was missed, however, and the Mustangs had their first victory over the Huskies since 1981.

MSU Mankato 48, Mary (N.D.) 0: The Mavericks, ranked No. 1 in NCAA Division II, scored on offense in all four quarters while the defensive unit was limiting the Marauders to 215 total yards and also getting into the scoring act. Patrick Schmidt returned an interception 22 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter.

Concordia 28, Minot State (N.D.) 13: DeCeon Schumann put the finishing touches on the Beavers when he intercepted a pass and returned it 42 yards for a touchdown with 1:01 remaining for the Golden Bears.

Sioux Falls (S.D.) 35, Minnesota Duluth 31: Max Mickey and Luke Papilion each rushed for more than 100 yards and scored two TDs as the sixth-ranked Cougars held on to beat the No. 7 Bulldogs.

Winona State 20, Bemidji State 17: Paul Preston ran for a 10-yard touchdown with 6:21 left as the Warriors topped the Beavers.

Wayne State (Neb.) 34, Northern State 27: Taylor Reedy threw his fourth TD pass, second to Marcel Dunson, with 2:14 left as the Wildcats edged the Wolves.

Upper Iowa 45, Minnesota-Crookston 3: Dimitri Morales ran for two touchdowns and threw for one as the Peacocks crushed the Golden Eagles.
