A gratuitously localized headline designed to get you to click? Maybe. A cheap shot at Joe Mauer? Hardly. More like us standing in awe of Adrian Beltre, who has three home runs (so far) through seven innings to put the Rangers a few innings away from eliminating the scrappy Rays.

A cheap shot, in case you were wondering, would have been, "Adrian Beltre has three more home runs in today's playoff game than Joe Mauer has in his entire postseason career." But these posts have been kind of negative lately (for the past five or so years), and we're trying to lighten up.
