There are not enough [redacteds] to describe the 2011 Twins season, which means the team is probably delighted to be distracting you already with thoughts of 2012. The season schedule was released -- no game times yet -- and we offer first a quick look at what we see as the highs and lows:

HIGHS

*June 8-17: That's your three-team Interleague homestand featuring the Cubs, Phillies and Brewers, in that order. Those are three teams that are intriguing to us. That's a very nice stretch.

*Friday-Sunday of Memorial Day weekend series with the Tigers.

*Five out of nine total weekends in June-July at home.

LOWS

*Only one home weekend in August.

*Red Sox (April) and Yankees (September) are big draws at strange times, unless the Twins are in the pennant chace in September next year (ahem).

Also: We have a six-person ticket collective. We are in the process of determining if everyone is still "in" for 2012. At the start of 2011, this would have seemed like a no-brainer. At this point, it seems like everyone is still on board -- in part, likely, because we have reasonably priced tickets ($13/game) and the cash layout isn't that bad. We're wondering, though, if there are some folks paying a lot more who are giving some serious thought to non-renewal and/or are going to renew for 2012 but aren't committed in their heads beyond that if the season goes poorly again.
