A 26-year-old woman who was found pinned beneath an ATV a day after a fatal crash this past weekend has been identified as Tia Muller, a member of the volunteer Cherry, Minn., Fire Department.

Johnathan Muller, 25, the driver, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Essentia Health in Duluth. He is also a firefighter, according to the department.

The Gilbert Police Department responded to the report of an ATV crash in the Iron Range Off-Highway Vehicle State Recreation Area on Saturday morning. The incident seemed to have occurred the previous night, according to a news release from the Police Department.

“At this time we don’t have words to say other than thank you and rest in peace,” the Cherry Fire Department posted to its Facebook page. “Tia (Tinker Bell) you will truly be missed. Our hearts as a department are hurting.”

The post drew more than a hundred likes and shares, with members of other fire departments offering condolences and friends describing the Chisholm woman as happy and kind.

According to her Facebook page, Tia Muller married John Muller in June.
