The Timberwolves have become appointment viewing in the eyes of the NBA.

Minnesota will open the 2017-18 season at San Antonio at 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 18, a game carried on ESPN as part of the league's opening-week national television slate. Additionally, after going the first 14 years without an appearance, the Wolves will play on Christmas Day for the second consecutive season.

They play in the last of five holiday games, at 9:30 p.m. at the Los Angeles Lakers on TNT. The Christmas Day slate is highlighted by an NBA Finals rematch between Golden State and Cleveland.

The full NBA schedule will be released at a later date, likely next week.
