Wolves-Spurs makeup game to be played April 8

That postponed Mexico City game is rescheduled

January 6, 2014 at 5:54PM

It's official: That Spurs-Wolves game that never was played in Mexico City last month will be played April 8 at Target Center at 7 p.m.

That's a Tuesday and will require the Wolves to play back-to-back home games against the Spurs and Chicago on Wednesday to fit the game in.

Funny, but the Spurs will manage to play that game without it being a back-to-back situation. They had a gap in their schedule that week between a Sunday home game against Memphis and a Thursday home game against Dallas.

I believe the Wolves pushed to play that game on Monday the 7th so they wouldn't have to play another set of back-to-back games but I don't think the NBA was too keen on going up against the NCAA title that night.

There are no NBA games scheduled that night.

Season-ticket holders will be contacted in the coming weeks and will be given first chance to buy their tickets for that game before tickets go on a public sale.

The Wolves didn’t appear engaged at either end of the floor and lost for the third time in four games.
