Wolverines: Beat Buckeyes and become the new No. 1?
With No. 1 Duke losing for the first time Saturday, No. 2 Michigan is in position to take over the top spot in the Associated Press poll -- although the Wolverines first have a significant hurdle to overcome.
The Wolverines (16-0, 3-0 Big Ten) pay a visit Sunday to No. 15 Ohio State (12-3, 2-1), a 12:30 p.m. game televised by Ch. 4.
Should the Wolverines win -- Michigan lost six consecutive meetings with the rival Buckeyes before beating them at home last season -- they would then play their first game at No. 1 since December 1993 on Thursday night, when they play the Gophers at Williams Arena.
