Lynx forward Rebekkah Brunson was named the WNBA Western Conference Player of the Month for June. Brunson becomes the first player in the 12-year history of the franchise to earn Player of the Month honors.
Brunson, a 6-3 forward in her second season with the Lynx, averaged 12.1 points and a WNBA-leading 11.7 rebounds in nine games, including a stretch of six consecutive double-doubles to start the season.
The Lynx (6-3), who have not played since a 101-71 victory over Tulsa last Thursday, play the Connecticut Sun on Saturday at Target Center.
