The Lynx have their 2026 regular-season schedule. The only question is whether all games will take place as planned.
The Lynx are set to begin their 44-game campaign at 6 p.m. May 10 at Target Center against the Atlanta Dream and wrap things up with a home game against the Indiana Fever at 7 p.m. Sept. 24.
Those plans could change depending on how long negotiations over a new collective bargaining agreement last between the league and the players union. The two sides are currently in a “status quo” period with the current CBA still in effect. They remain apart on economic issues such as revenue sharing.
If the WNBA and its players reach a deal that allows the season to start on time, the Lynx will look to build on last year’s 34-10 season that ended with a disappointing loss to Phoenix in the semifinals.
Head coach and President of Basketball Operations Cheryl Reeve needs 16 wins to become the winningest coach in league history.
Reeve’s pursuit of the record could be hampered by the potential absence of star Napheesa Collier at the beginning of the season. Collier, who injured her ankle in Game 3 of the Lynx’s series against the Mercury, underwent surgery on both ankles Jan. 1 and is expected to be out four to six months.
Other key games for the Lynx include home matchups with reigning champion Las Vegas on Aug. 8 and 2024 WNBA Finals opponent New York on July 11 and Sept. 18. The Lynx will host three games against the league’s two expansion teams: Toronto (May 21 and July 28) and Portland (June 15). There will be an expansion draft this offseason, but details have yet to be released.
The Lynx will play seven WNBA Commissioner’s Cup games from June 1-17 as they look to reach the championship game for a third straight year.
