Wheat and soybean futures rise on the CBOT; pork prices also rise

CHICAGO — Grains futures rose or were flat Wednesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery rose 8.75 cents to $6.67 a bushel; September was flat at $5.33 a bushel; September oats were flat at $3.5125 a bushel; while August soybeans jumped 11.50 cents to $14.45 a bushel.

Beef prices were mixed, while pork prices rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle rose 0.50 cent to $1.2240 a pound; August feeder cattle was flat at $1.5090 a pound; July lean hogs rise 0.65 cent to $1.0165 a pound.
