What's Your Major?

According to the CollegeGrad.com survey, 44 percent of employer respondents ranked a student's major as the top priority for hiring consideration.

Employers are first concerned with finding candidates who have a specific skill-set necessary for success in a particular field. Interviewing skills, internship/experience and the college the student graduated from ranked second, third and fourth. GPA ranked sixth on the list, with only 4 percent saying this was a priority.
