BEARS SEAL THE DEAL

The NFC North champion Bears really didn't have anything to play for by halftime, but QB Mitch Trubisky said the team was already in playoff mode. "This is a tough environment to play in," he said. "We were already in the playoffs, the Vikings were fighting for a spot, and for us to come out and play the way we did in all three phases says a lot about this team."

MANO-A-MANO

Vikings LT Riley Reiff vs. Bears LB Khalil Mack

WHO WON?

Oddly enough, the official score sheet did not credit Mack with any tackles, so if the Vikings' plans were to keep damage to a minimum, it worked. Small win.

PLAY OF THE GAME

UH-OH TIME

The Vikings trailed 7-0 in the second quarter and were hoping to stop the Bears, who had third-and-7 at the Minnesota 41. But QB Mitch Trubisky (10) found Taylor Gabriel (18) down the left side, and Gabriel was hauled down at the 1 by Vikings CB Holton Hill (24). The Bears scored a TD on the next play.

THE QUOTE

"It was big for us to come out here and execute those plays we do throughout the week."

— Bears WR Taylor Gabriel
