An official investigation into the death of Nodar Kumaritashvili at the Vancouver Olympics will find no single cause for his fatal luge accident.

Svein Romstad, secretary general of the International Luge Federation, said the FIL report will describe the 21-year-old Georgian's crash at 90 miles per hour on Whistler's track as something that could not have been foreseen.

"Everybody wants a scapegoat and to say, 'It was that person' ... I think one thing we will see is that it's an amalgamation of a lot of different things," said Romstad, the report's lead writer. "What happened to Nodar was very, very unique."

FIL initially judged that Kumaritashvili made tactical errors. He died when he was thrown through the air and slammed into a trackside pole.

Clarett moves closer to release A judge in Columbus, Ohio, cleared the way for ex-Ohio State football star Maurice Clarett to move to a smaller detention facility in Columbus, which could lead to his release within a few months.

Asked by Franklin County Common Pleas Judge David Fais if he had anything to say, Clarett cleared his throat and said, "I'd like to say I'm humbled."

Clarett, 26, who led the Buckeyes to the 2002 national championship in his only college season, served 3 1/2 years in prison for aggravated robbery and carrying a concealed weapon. He'll spend at least four months at the new facility.

Navratilova said a routine mammogram in January found a lump, and a biopsy the following month determined it was ductal carcinoma in situ, or DCIS. The nine-time Wimbledon women's singles champion had a lumpectomy in March and will start six weeks of radiation therapy next month.

"It was such a shock for me," Navratilova said.
