The Bloomington office of public relations giant Weber Shandwick announced Wednesday that it will move its 200-employee office to downtown Minneapolis when its current lease expires in 2016.
Weber Shandwick's new location will be on two floors in the 510 Marquette building, currently under renovation, which also will be home to the Campbell Mithun advertising agency. Both firms are owned by Interpublic Group (IPG).
Two other IPG-owned agencies in Bloomington, Octagon and Constituency Management Group, will accompany Weber Shandwick in the move downtown.
Weber Shandwick, which acquired the Twin Cities-based PR firm Mona Meyer McGrath & Gavin in 1988, had a downtown Minneapolis office until 1991, when it consolidated its offices in Bloomington.
