R.J. Bell of Pregame.com checked in via e-mail with a list of 25 NFL facts straight out of Vegas. A lot of them would only be interesting to gamblers seeking a false edge; but one of them stuck out to us:

Vikings: 18% chance Adrian Peterson beats Eric Dickerson's rushing yardage record.

We are assuming that is based on the odds that are out there.

Basically he has a slightly better than 1 in 6 chance of doing it. Of course, at the start of the season, we would have giving Peterson a 0 percent chance of having the type of season he is having.

So 18 percent? That's almost a slam dunk. Might as well just give up now, Packers.
