United draws again to finish off preseason tournament in Portland

The Loons' Johan Venegas scored deep into stoppage time to earn a 3-3 draw with Real Salt Lake.

Minnesota United drew 3-3 on Wednesday with Real Salt Lake in the final game of a preseason tournament at Providence Park in Portland. Midfielder Kevin Molino scored twice for United before Salt Lake came back to eventually take the lead with just minutes left in regulation. But Johan Venegas, fresh off his brace in Sunday's game, scored the equalizer deep into stoppage time to keep the Loons undefeated in preseason so far. United next plays MLS Cup runnerup Toronto FC in Orlando at 2 p.m. Feb. 22 in Orlando.
