The U.S. women's national team will play Switzerland on Sunday, Oct. 23, at U.S. Bank Stadium.

The 12:45 p.m. game is part of a two-match series that starts Oct. 19 in Sandy, Utah.

Tickets for the Switzerland-U.S. match in Minneapolis go on sale Sept. 12 through usasoccer.com, Ticketmaster and at the stadium.

Team USA played 14 matches at the National Sports Center in Blaine, the last in 2006.

Switzerland did not make it out of Group C at the 2015 Women's World Cup.

The U.S. team was ousted in the quarterfinals of the Olympics, after which goaltender Hope Solo was suspended for six months for calling the victorious Swedish team "cowards."

The U.S. plays Thailand on Sept. 15 in Columbus, Ohio, and The Netherlands on Sept. 18 in Atlanta.
