Duke freshman guard Tyus Jones has been everywhere over the last week.
The Apple Valley native defeated Wisconsin in the NCAA men's basketball national championship last Monday. He earned Most Outstanding Player honors and graced the cover of Sports Illustrated.
He also made a surprise trip to Target Field for the Twins home opener on Monday. Wolves forward Kevin Garnett threw the first pitch to outfielder Torii Hunter and acted like he forgot to bring a ball. That's when Jones emerged from the Twins dugout, receiving a standing ovation from the crowd.

"I played baseball when I was younger, so it was cool to get a chance to watch two guys that you watched and admired," Jones said.
Twins reached out to Jones last week inviting him to the ballpark if he was ever in the Twin Cities. Jones said he was in town visiting family over the weekend.
"They thought it'd be cool if he acted like he didn't have the ball or forgot to get the ball, and I'd bring it out to him," Jones said. "It worked out pretty cool. Kevin is a great guy, so it was a lot of fun."
For those keeping track, Jones said he still hasn't made a decision on whether he'll declare for the NBA Draft.
