Twins wait to announce fate of arbitration-eligible players

December 3, 2014 at 5:42AM

The Twins went into late Tuesday evening making decisions about their arbitration-eligible players.

With an 11 p.m. Tuesday deadline approaching to tender contracts to their arbitration-eligible players, the Twins had to make decisions on third baseman Trevor Plouffe, lefthanders Tommy Milone and Brian Duensing, outfielder Jordan Schafer, infielder Eduardo Nunez and righthander Casey Fien. Any player they don't tender a contract to becomes a free agent.

Twins spokesman Dustin Morse said the club will make an official announcement about the players they tendered contracts to Wednesday.
