The orders were written on the grease board for every Twins player to see on Thursday.

"Show and Go."

That meant no pre-game work today. Just come to the ballpark. get dressed, stretch, hit in the cage and play. Oh, that's after bags are packed, rental homes locked up and rental car keys dropped off.

The Twins and Red Sox are expected to play a quick game today before they both head for the airport for road exhibition games. The Twins will fly to Washington to play the Nationals on Friday and Saturday. Boston will play Toronto - in Montreal.

Spring success means nothing, but the Twins have won seven straight games and nine of their last ten. And they have crushed the Red Sox this spring, winning six of seven games.

The teams play for the Governor's Cup every spring. The Twins clinched the Cup a while ago.

While the team is moving on to Washington, Tommy Milone and Michael Tonkin are staying behind to pitch in minor league spring training games over the weekend before joining the club on the road. Tonkin is being stretched out after being mostly a one-inning guy in recent years. He event through a changeup on Wednesday during his three innings on the minor league side.
