The Twins-Tigers game has been postponed after heavy rains at Target Field.
There will be two games tomorrow, at 1:10 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. Both games will be televised on FSN.
The Twins had two on and two out in the third inning when it began to rain so hard that umpires could not wait to let the inning play out. We are in a rain delay at Target Field.
A hard rain delay, with thunder and lightning. Within minutes, puddles formed in left field. A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued until 9 p.m., and a flash flood warning until 11:30 p.m.
Jose Berrios has thrown three shutout innings, which is an achievement for him. But he needed 29 pitches to get out of a bases loaded jam in the first. He did throw a 1-2-3 third inning - that included a Miguel Cabrera drive that was kept in the park by high winds.
UPDATE
The next update will be at 9:45, but I'm not optimistic that this game will continue tonight. We'll see.
Check back for updates as we wait this one out.
